Wilmington’s Kaitlyn Jamiel is a member of the the Ohio Galaxies FC U-15 girls soccer team. Jamiel is in the back row at the left. Other Ohio Galaxies FC team members are, in no particular order, Saylor Jewel and Olivia Rader of Preble Shawnee; Alyssa Hawes, Jordan Martin, Sydni Callahan and Abigail Black of Valley View; Caitlin Wetzel and Sara Quinlin of Centerville; Cara Snider and Meredith Magee of Beavercreek; Adriana Winston and Marissa Babb of Xenia; Claire Rueth of Incarnation; Ryley Hamilton of Miamisburg; Peighton Banks of Springboro; Molly Spears of Bellbrook; Sydney Steck of Dayton Carroll; Caroline Winch of Oakwood and Riley O’Brien of Kettering Alter.

Kaitlyn Jamiel

Wilmington High School sophomore Kaitlyn Jamiel was a member of the Ohio Galaxies FC championship team at the Ohio South Presidents Cup U-15 girls soccer tournament.

The Presidents Cup victory allowed the Ohio Galaxies FC squad to advance to a regional tournament in St. Louis, Mo. a couple weeks ago, according to Judah Jamiel. The Ohio Galaxies FC went 1-1-1 in the tournament, despite playing with less than a full roster of players.

The Ohio Galaxies FC squad is based out of Xenia and trains at the Athletes in Action complex in Greene County.

Jamiel will now play on the Ohio Galaxies FC U-16 team in the Midwest Regional League beginning next spring.
