Blanchester finished in the middle of the SBAAC National Division pack last season, posting a 6-6 conference record.
Williamsburg took home the championship hardware with East Clinton and Clermont Northeastern right behind.
Then the Ladycats were slotted in next but clearly ahead of the next three league teams.
However, Blanchester lost four solid players from the 2017 team, including first team All-SBAAC player Asia Baldwin. Others gone are Cheyenne Brown, Shelbie Rose and Audrey Heitzman.
Morgan Oberle is the top returning player. She earned second team All-SBAAC honors last year as a junior.
Other key returning players from last season are Kassidy Abney and Ally Davis.
Newcomers of note for Blanchester are Holly Scott, Molly Campbell, Caili Baumann, Madison Creager and Taylor Combs.
Jenna Weisflock is in her third year now as the Blanchester head coach. She is 23-23.
Weisflock is assisted by Julie Mulvihill who is junior varsity coach and Amanda Benza who is the seventh and eighth grade coach.
