WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE – Michelle Huffman scored two goals and Karlie Morgan recorded the shutout as Wilmington defeated Washington Senior 4-0 Saturday in non-league girls soccer action at Gardner Park.

Huffman scored in the 36th minute and again in the 66th minute.

Anna Borton scored the first WHS goal in the 34th minute then Huffman responded just two minutes later.

After a 2-0 halftime lead, Petra Bray tallied a goal in the 55th minute as the Lady Hurricane went up 3-0.

Morgan returned in goal from injury, coach Alex Rhinehart said, and made five saves to blank the Lady Blue Lions.

For Rhinehart, the victory was his first as WHS varsity girls soccer head coach.
