Woods, CM remain SBAAC leaders

WILMINGTON – Clinton-Massie held off Clermont Northeastern and Wilmington Tuesday in SBAAC girls golf action at the Elks 797 Golf Course.

Woods for the third straight event was medalist with a 39. She remains the top golfer in the league.

As a team, the Lady Falcons had 191 while Clermont Northeastern was second with 193 and Wilmington third with 195.

“We had a new team best (score) for the third time in a row,” WHS coach Pat Black said.

The Lady Falcons lead the league after three rounds. Clermont Northeastern is second, 11 strokes behind CMHS.

Massie coach Tim McGraw said Abby Schneider posted a personal best of 48. Mackynzi Vonderhaar played well for CMHS, McGraw said.

For Wilmington, Lilly Middleton led the way with a 41.

East Clinton’s Marci Ellis had a 52.

“Very proud of the way Marci played,” EC coach Brian Carey said. “This is by far the best she has played all year and she only continues to get better each week.”

Regan Grogg had a 64 for Blanchester.
