MT. ORAB -The Blanchester tennis team dropped a 4-1 match Tuesday to Western Brown in non-league tennis action on the Brown County school courts.

The Ladycats fall to 1-7 on the year.

The lone BHS win came at first doubles where Elecia Patton and Taylor Bradley posted a 6-0, 6-2 victory.

“I thought that was as strong a first doubles performance as we’ve had this season,” said BHS coach Matt Sexton. “Elecia and Taylor really played aggressively and they kept Western Brown on the defensive the whole match.”

Sexton noted the play of Jill Richardson and Calleigh Hixson who played well in defeat at second doubles.
