EC picks up National Division win on the road

GEORGETOWN – The East Clinton volleyball team defeated Georgetown 25-14, 25-22, 25-18 Tuesday night in SBAAC National Division play.

East Clinton is 3-5 overall and 2-2 in the National Division.

“I was super happy with the entire team’s play,” EC coach Sarah Sodini said. “We’re coming together. We had a lot of hitting errors we need to work on, but the girls came together to win.”

Kenzie Campbell had four aces, six kills, an assist, four digs and a block. Myah Jones had two aces, six kills, 20 assists and four digs. Rhylee Luttrell chipped in with two digs.

Kait Durbin had 10 kills and four digs. Lacey Peterman contributed an ace, two kills, nine assists and six digs. Kiya Byrd had five aces, three kills, three digs and four blocks.

Emma Malone posted two kills and two digs on the stat sheet. Miranda Beener finished with two digs and Megan Stewart totaled six kills and two digs.
