Astros still trail G-Men in National Division

GOSHEN – Georgetown maintained its lead in the SBAAC National Division boys golf standings Tuesday with a divisional win at Deer Track Golf Course.

East Clinton was second to Georgetown on Tuesday, 182 to 186. The Astros also are second in the overall standings with a 901 total while the G-Men have 864.

Blanchester was sixth on Tuesday with a 220 team total. Felicity was third with 197, Clermont Northeastern fourth with 211 and Bethel-Tate fifth with 216.

Lance Sininger of Georgetown was the divisional medalist with a 34. He leads East Clinton’s Brendan Walters by 36 strokes in the overall standings for player of the year honors.

For East Clinton, Gage McConahay had a 40 to pace the Astros while Walters came in with a 42. Shane Streber had a 46. Lane Baker carded a 58 and Quinton Tolle shot a 60.

For Blanchester, Jacob Miller led the way with a 50. Logan Heitzmann had a 54 while Brian Miller and Ashlin Benne both shot 58s.

Trenton Czaika shot a 61 for the Wildcats while Jacob Hamm carded a 63.
