BETHEL – For the second straight night, Blanchester’s girls tennis team had its effort rewarded with victory.

Blanchester defeated Bethel-Tate 4-1 Wednesday in a SBAAC National Division matchup on the Clermont County courts.

Blanchester is 3-9 overall and 3-5 in the National Division.

“It’s great to string two straight good efforts together,” BHS coach Matt Sexton said. “Kayla (Allen) has played four great sets this week. That was a good win for first doubles (Elecia Patton and Annie Trovillo) against a team that has had success this year.

“Overall, we’re playing some of our best tennis of the year heading into the Coaches Classic.”
