Massie picks up win in steamy Greenon gym

ENON – In a steamy gym, Clinton-Massie proved to be equally hot in a 27-25, 25-9, 25-14 win over Greenon Wednesday in non-league volleyball action.

The Lady Falcons are 7-2 on the year.

“Greenon is an old school with no air (conditioning), so playing in that made for a little bit of a struggle the first set,” CM coach Stephanie Reveal. “Then sets two and three we played really well. Set two was probably the best we have played all season, everything just clicked. We passed low and fast and controlled the tempo from start to finish.”

Tyler Greathouse led the CM offense with 12 kills and defense with 23 digs. She also had an ace among six points and a set assist.

Haley Conley had six points with an ace, four kills, 29 assists, eight digs and two blocks. Delany Miller finished with seven points, four aces, two kills and five digs. Rylee Richardson had 13 points, an ace, eight kills, six digs and a block. Hayley Roberts had two assists and five digs.

Faith Cottrell recorded six points, six kills, three assists, four digs and a block. Taylor Florea came through with four points, an ace, three kills and two digs. Cadin Reveal contributed two points, six kills, two assists, four digs and two blocks. Maddie Enright had an assist and 12 digs.
