MONROE – After a furious start, the Clinton-Massie volleyball team had to hold off Monroe Monday 26-24, 25-23, 14-25, 20-25, 18-16 in a non-league match at the Monroe gym.

“Huge win on the road,” CM coach Stephanie Reveal said. “Tonight was a huge mental win as well as on the court. The girls all played with heart and gave me 110 percent. They are starting to believe in each other and it’s so much fun to coach and watch things fall into place. It’s not just one girl, it’s all 11 of them. The girls on the bench are huge factors as well.”

The Lady Falcons are 9-2 on the year.

Clinton-Massie will host Wilmington Wednesday with a Staff Appreciation theme.
