SPRINGFIELD – Jack Murphy made it two straight district berths Tuesday by finishing as the second individual at the Div. I sectional boys golf tournament at Reid Park North Course.

Murphy, a junior, had an 81 (41-40) to earn a spot in the Div. I district tournament at Beavercreek Golf Club Oct. 11. Murphy is scheduled to tee off at 10:50 a.m., the final tee time for the event.

As a team, Wilmington had a 441 total.

Following Murphy’s 81, Zane Carey had a 111 (53-58) and Braydon Conley finished with a 119 (55-64). Brendan Powell had a 130 (63-67) and Ely Schumacher carded a 155 (72-83).

Murphy qualified for the district tournament as a freshman at WHS but failed to qualify last season as a sophomore.

Wilmington was the team champion in the SBAAC American Division this season.
