Ladycats win Volley for the Cure match with Lady Rockets

BLANCHESTER – After a slow start, the Blanchester High School volleyball team steamrolled Fayetteville 25-13, 25-19, 25-15 Monday night in a non-league match at the BHS gym.

The Ladycats celebrated their annual Volley for the Cure fundraiser with the Lady Rockets.

“The girls played well,” BHS coach Jenna Weisflock said. “We started out a little sluggish but they picked it up and played to the level they know how to play.”

Molly Campbell had two digs and two perfect passes for Blanchester. Kelli Hoffman had a perfect pass. Caili Baumann chipped in with five kills, eight points and a perfect pass. Madison Creager had a kill, 17 points, three digs and a perfect pass.

Ally Davis had a kill, five points, a dig and six perfect passes. Kassidy Abney finished with a kill, seven points, a dig and seven perfect passes. Morgan Oberle totaled nine kills, five blocks, 15 points, five aces, 13 perfect passes and an assist. Holly Scott was credited with 15 assists, a kill and seven points.
