BLANCHESTER – The Blanchester High School boys soccer team defeated Williamsburg 4-0 Thursday in SBAAC National Division action at Barbour Memorial Field.

It was Senior Night for BHS and Nicholas Lansing and Hunter Miller, who both played three years on the varsity team, were honored.

Carter Stevens had two goals for Blanchester while Hunter Hartmann and Cameron Skidmore scored one goal each. Assists were credited to Hartmann, Skidmore and Jordan Gray.

Williamsburg applied pressure with counter-attacks, BHS coach Troy Ballinger said, and the homestanding Wildcats were prepared defensively.

Gavin Colebank had 19 saves and earned his second shutout of the season. Ballinger said this was “possibly his best performance of the season.”

Blanchester will play 1 p.m. Saturday at Taylor High School.
