BATAVIA – The Wilmington High School girls soccer team was defeated by Batavia 3-0 Thursday at Alumni Field.
It was Senior Night for the Lady Hurricane with Jenna Victor, Ashley Tissot, Trinity Sexton, Jordan Snarr, Michelle Huffman and Clair Greenlees being honored.
“(They) have put in lots of hours for the Hurricane,” WHS coach Alex Rhinehart said. “It was great to come out and honor them.”
Rhinehart said the team played with intensity despite the loss.
Wilmington will now prepare for its home tournament match 7 p.m. Tuesday against Trotwood-Madison.
