Registration will begin Monday and run through Nov. 5 for the Wilmington City Recreation Dept. youth basketball program.

The basketball program is for boys and girls in grades 3-6.

Online registration is available at http://bit.ly/2019basketball. The link is available on the Wilmington Parks and Recreation Facebook page. Forms also can be completed at the athletic coordinator’s office at J.W. Denver Williams Jr. Memorial Park.

Clinics for all age groups will begin the week of Nov. 26. Coaches will contact players by Dec. 1 and practices will begin the week of Dec. 3.

Games will begin in January and be played on weeknights at the elementary schools in the Wilmington school district. All games and practices are called off when Wilmington City Schools are closed.

Cost for the basketball program is $30 for Wilmington residents, with a $15 fee for each additional child. Cost for residents outside the city limits is $40 for the first child and $20 for each additional child. All payments must be made by Nov. 5 to ensure a child a spot on a roster.

All payments received after Nov. 5 will be assessed a $10 late fee. Payments can be mailed to City of Wilmington Parks and Recreation, 69 N. South St. Checks should be made payable to City of Wilmington Parks and Recreation. There will be a $30 charge for returned checks.
