The Clinton-Massie Falcons 12U football team defeated the Lima Bulldogs 14-6 Sunday afternoon to capture the Iron Horse Championship in Troy.

The young Falcons participated in the Trojan Horse Youth Football Tournament this past weekend. The Iron Horse Champion is actually third place — it is given due to the fact that you would have to play 4-5 football games in one weekend in order to be the Iron Horse of the tournament.

The tournament hosts the very best talent from all over Ohio and surrounding states.

This group of Falcons was the smallest team in the tournament; the other teams had the advantage with speed and athleticism.

These boys won on toughness and by playing team football — Massie Football. The two games they played on Sunday were all about pride and playing for the guy to your left and right.

They knew they weren’t going to get first place due to the loss on Saturday night. Sunday was about playing for each other. That’s exactly what they did.
