WILMINGTON – The Wilmington swim teams opened the season Tuesday sweeping a tri-meet with Valley View and Clinton-Massie at Wilmington College.
The Hurricane girls outlasted Valley View 121-115. Clinton-Massie finished with 16. Wilmington’s boys nearly doubled-up Massie 123-67. Valley View finished with 16.
Valley View’s girls swept all three relay events, but the Hurricane helped make up the difference by taking five of the eight individual events. Alison Dooley led the Hurricane with two victories.
Wilmington’s boys took two of the three relays, with Massie taking the other. Harrison Law led the Wilmington boys with two victories.
Massie’s Isaiah Turner, in the 50 free, and Drew Puckett, in the 400 free, notched the Falcons’ individual event wins.
