Lady Astros win big over Whiteoak, 82-25

The East Clinton Lady Astros opened their basketball season with a victory over Whiteoak, 82-25.

Four Astros were in double figures. Mackenzie Campbell and Lacey Peterman had 17 points each. Katrina Bowman and Kaitlin Durbin followed up with 12 and 11 points.

Peterman and Campbell had 6 assists each. Freshman McKenzie Pence contributed 3 assists off the bench.

Campbell and Durbin were leading rebounders with 7 rebounds each. Freshman Allie Creachbaum had 6 rebounds to go along with 6 points. Makenzy Weiner played well defensively and contributed 2 offensive rebounds.

Freshman Kelsey Lilly contributed 7 points off the bench. Alexis Rolfe, Miranda Beener, and Gracie Boggs had four points each.

The Lady Astros had 24 assists as a team.

Lady Astros will be back in action Wednesday night when they host Leesburg Fairfield.
