WHS boys defeat ‘Dogs; Lady ‘Cane come up short

BATAVIA – Pins were hard to come by Thursday but the Wilmington High School boys bowling team defeated Batavia 2,130 to 2,053 in SBAAC action at Batavia Bowl.

Elijah Martin was the top Hurricane with a 222 game and a 401 series.

For the Lady Hurricane, it was a 30-pin defeat, 1,743 to 1,713.

Ariel Comberger (291) and McKenzie Frazier (289) led the way but Batavia won the second game by 100 pins and held on for the win.
