WHS bowlers win pair of close matches with Batavia

WILMINGTON – In a pair of close matches, the Wilmington High School boys and girls bowling teams defeated Batavia in SBAAC action at Royal Z Lanes.

The Lady Hurricane were victorious 1,654 to 1,624. Ariel Comberger had a 318 series for WHS. The difference in the match came in the baker games where WHS had a 383 to 325 edge.

On the boys side, Wilmington was a 2,150 to 2,124 winner.

Wilmington had a 58 pin lead going into the baker games and then had to hold off the Bulldogs, who won the bakers 503 to 475.

Individually, Mason McIntosh had a 413 total and a 225 single game.
