MARIETTA, Ohio – The Wilmington College men’s track & field team opened its indoor season at the Marietta College First Glimpse Meet on Saturday.

Wilmington took its first win of the season in the 5,000-meter run as Evan Whitaker crossed the line in 15:50.11 followed by Cameron Phelps in second and Austin Wampler in seventh.

Evan Whitaker qualified for the Ohio Athletic Conference meet with his 5,000 meter run time.

Clinton-Massie graduate Jacob Whitaker finished first in the mile run with a time of 4:50.79.

The 4,000-meter distance medley relay team of Evan Whitaker, Elliot Phillimore, Jacob Whitaker and Tatin Bertsch won with a time of 11:39.15.
