ECJH wrestlers 7th at Batavia Inv.

BATAVIA – With two weight class champions, the East Clinton Junior High School wrestling team finished seventh Saturday at the Batavia Invitational.

Ethan Kessler at 205 pins and Jacob Cubbage at 245 pounds were both champions. Kessler won five matches, all by pin. Cubbage won four matches, all by pin.

Kaleb Bauman was third at 110 pounds. He had four pins.

Curtis Singleton at 98 pounds and Avery Hughes at 134 pounds both had pins.

Western Brown won the tournament with Batavia second, Bethel-Tate third and New Richmond fourth. Middletown was fifth and Reading sixth. Also in the tournament were teams from Sacred Heart, Walnut Hills, Madeira, Williamsburg, Madison, Clinton-Massie, Wyoming, Cincinnati Public Schools, Indian Hill, Hillsboro, Mt. Healthy, Clermont Northeastern and Ohio Valley Wrestling.
