Blan 7th grade girls strong defensively in 23-7 win

The Blanchester seventh grade girls basketball team defeated Wilmington’s Rodger O. Borror Middle School 23-7 Monday night.

Blanchester coach Julie Mulvihill said her squad played well defensively.

For the Ladycats, Kaylee Coyle had eight points, five rebounds and five steals. Hope Blankenbeckler had six points, three blocked shots and two rebounds.

Macy Waldron contributed four points, four rebounds and five steals. Gracie Roy chipped in with three points, six rebounds and four steals. Abbey Irwin had two points, two rebounds and a steal.

Layla Winemiller had two rebounds and steal while teammate Nevaeh Griffith came up with one steal. Shelbie Panetta had two rebounds for the Ladycats.
