WILLIAMSBURG — With 8 wrestlers finishing in the top 6, East Clinton as a team finished third Saturday in the Bob Guy Invitational here at WHS.
Williamsburg won the event and Bethel-Tate was second. The Astros third place finish was the highest ever for the team, coach Doug Stehlin said.
Austin Brock was 2-1 with 2 pins and finished second at 120 pounds.
Noah Morgan was 2-1 with 2 pins and finished second at 152 pounds.
Charles Erdman was 2-1 with 2 pins and finished second at 160 pounds.
Cameron Bloch was 2-1 with a pin and finished second at 170 pounds.
Kalob Williams (4-1 with 3 pins) was third at 138 while Josh Jones (3-2, 3 pins) was fourth at 113 and Thomas Wright (2-2, 2 pins) was fourth at 152 pounds. DJ Perry (1-3, 1 pin) was sixth at 195 pounds.
