Astros JV boys wins first over Adena

The East Clinton junior varsity boys basketball team defeated Adena Saturday night 49-47 for its first win of the season.

Taylor McCommus led EC with 14 points while Landon Runyon scored 12.

East Clinton lost to Bethel-Tate on Tuesdasy 50-29. Runyon had six points and McCommus scored five. Caleb Kingery also had five points.

In other games, East Clinton was defeated by Georgetown 55-40. Quinton Tolle scored 11 points and Runyon contribted nine.

The Astros lost a close one to Fairfield 48-44 with McCommus scored 11 and Logan Swayne led the way with 12.

East Clinton was defeated by Whiteoak 42-32 with McCommus and JC Smith both scoring eight points.

In a 46-32 loss to Williamsburg, McCommus scored 10 points and Swayne added seven.

EC dropped a 54-33 decision to Blanchester. Tolle had 10 points and Swayne scored six.
