Lady Astros clawed by Blue Lions 51-40

WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE — Falling behind 15-2, East Clinton was unable to dig out of the early hole and lost to Washington Senior 51-40 Saturday night in South Central Ohio League girls basketball action.

The loss puts the Lady Astros at 1-5 overall, 0-3 in the SCOL. The Lady Blue Lions are now 2-3 overall, 2-2 in league play.

Lacey Peterman of East Clinton was the top scorer in the game with 15 points.

Hannah Haithcock led WSHS with 14 points. Savannah Wallace and Jaycie McRoberts had 12 points each for the Lady Blue Lions.

East Clinton trailed 15-2 at the end of the first quarter and 21-9 at halftime.

The Lady Blue Lions extended the lead to 38-24 after 3 quarters.
