EC bowlers go 1-3 against Bethel-Tate, Williamsburg

The East Clinton bowling teams competed against Williamsburg and Bethel-Tate last week.

On Jan. 29, the Astros split matches with Bethel-Tate at Royal Z Lanes.

The EC boys were winners 1,956 to 1,707. Austin Arellano had the high game (169) and series (310) for East Clinton. Grant Wisecup had a 167 game.

On the girls side, the Lady Tigers came out on top 1,553 to 1,520. East Clinton had a solid round of baker games and lost by just 36 pins. Josie Runk led with a 158 game while August Morgan had a 143.

On Jan. 28 at Batavia Bowl, East Clinton girls lost to SBAAC National Division leader Williamsburg 1,754 to 1,395. East Clinton had just four bowlers. Runk had games of 152 and 190 for a 342 series, both game and series personal bests. Page Harrell had a 132 game.

For the boys, Arellano led with games of 165 and 192 (357 series) in a 2,075 to 1,991 loss. Wisecup had a 178 game and Freddy Morgan had a 183 game and 322 series.
