NEW RICHMOND – Clinton-Massie’s defense held New Richmond to just six points in the middle two quarters during Saturday’s 37-26 win in SBAAC American Division girls basketball action.
The win puts the Lady Falcons at 5-13 overall and 2-6 in the American Division.
The Lady Lions are now 10-9 overall and 2-7 in league play.
“Started a little slow,” CM coach Tim McGraw said. “(We) shot the ball very well in the first half.”
Clinton-Massie was behind 7-2 early then rallied for a 21-14 lead at halftime. Faith Cottrell had 10 points in the second quarter.
The Lady Falcons scored the first 10 points of the third quarter to take a 31-14 lead, McGraw said. Patience Chowning had a pair of three-pointers in the third.
Cottrell led Massie with 18 points while Chowning finished with 11.
