Ladycats chain Bulldogs in SBAAC crossover win 54-35

BLANCHESTER – A strong second quarter lifted Blanchester to a 54-35 win over Batavia Saturday at the BHS gym in an SBAAC Bud Phillips Scholarship crossover game.

The Ladycats won for just the fourth time in 20 games this season. Batavia is 5-17.

Elecia Patton scored seven of Blanchester’s 17 points in the second quarter as BHS turned an 11-9 deficit to a 26-16 lead at halftime.

The lead was extended in the third to 46-31. Patton scored 10 BHS points in the period.

Olivia Patel, a freshman for Batavia, had 13 of the Lady Bulldogs 16 points at halftime. She finished with 17 points.

Lana Roy had 15 points and 11 rebounds for Blanchester. Olivia Gundler had nine points and seven rebounds.
