WC track, field at Indoor All-Ohio Championship

WESTERVILLE – The Wilmington College men’s and women’s track and field teams competed Saturday at the Indoor All-Ohio Championship at Otterbein University.

For the men, three relays finished eighth overall.

The distance medley relay squad of Cameron Phelps, Elliot Phillimore, Taton Bertsch and Evan Whitaker ran 11:00.37 while the team of Luke Richardson, Elorm Dogbey, Adam Knaub and Aaron Koch finished the 4×200-meter relay in 1:35.33. The 4×400-meter relay squad of Dogbey, Bertsch, Knaub and Koch finished in 3:34.37.

Evan Whitaker was 15th (4:47.46) in the mile run.

On the women’s side, the 4×200-meter relay team of Emma Burke, Cheyenne Rhodes, Miranda Gibson and Sydney Fields were 10th in 4:29.88.

Burke was 11th in the 60-meter hurdles, clocking 9.67 seconds.

Wilmington College returns to action at the Rick Meindl Invitational this weekend.
