BATAVIA – The Clinton-Massie wrestling team finished second Saturday at the Steve Shinkle Invitational at Batavia High School.

“The future looks bright for a young Clinton-Massie varsity wrestling team,” CM coach Spencer Running said.

The Falcons did not have a weight class champion but solid depth with five in the top four and 10 in the top seven helped put Massie behind only tournament champion Bethel-Tate.

Robbie Frederick was runnerup at 145 and Joe Baughman was second at 220.

Third-place finishers for Clinton-Massie were Garrett Newkirk at 126, Braxton Green at 170 and Colton Doyle at 195.

A trio of Falcons were fifth – Grant Moorman at 106, Bryce Seaman at 152 and Lane Schultz at 182.

Ethan Johnson was sixth at 113 and Reuben Mobley was seventh at 120.
