East Clinton girls defeat New Richmond in crossover 50-39

LEES CREEK – East Clinton got off to a fast start and went on to defeat New Richmond 50-39 Saturday in an SBAAC Bud Phillips Scholarship crossover game at ECHS.

Both teams finish their regular seasons with 10-12 records.

Mackenzie Campbell led East Clinton with 17 points, six rebounds and four assists. Lacey Peterman added 10.

Kaitlin Durbin had seven points but paced the Lady Astros with five steals and six blocked shots.

East Clinton led 16-7 after one then bogged down offensively in the second quarter. The Lady Astros led 22-15 at the break.

In the third, though, the Lady Astros were back on track with 19 points and extended their lead to 41-30.
