EC 7th grade girls win SBAAC Northern tournament title

MT. ORAB – East Clinton rallied from a 23-20 third quarter deficit to defeat Goshen 38-27 Wednesday and win the SBAAC Northern Division seventh grade girls basketball tournament championship.

The young Lady Astros outscored the Lady Warriors 18-4 in the final period. Jordan Collom scored eight points in the fourth for EC.

The Lady Astros were 7 for 8 at the free throw line in the fourth. Goshen was 0 for 6 in the final quarter.

Collom finished with 18 points, five rebounds, two blocked shots, two assists and seven steals. Megan Hadley had 10 points, eight rebounds and four steals. Madison Frazer chipped in with two rebounds and two steals.

Ashlyn Tate grabbed two rebounds and Lauren Runyon contributed seven points, 12 rebounds, five blocked shots and three assists. Lilly Hoskins had three points, 11 rebounds, two blocked shots and two steals.
