MT. ORAB – The East Clinton eighth grade girls basketball team made it back-to-back tournament titles Wednesday with a 33-23 win over Wilmington’s Rodger O. Borror squad in the SBAAC Northern Division tournament championship game.

“The girls played their hearts out,” coach Todd Runyon said. “Wilmington is a great team and well-coached but the night was about hunger of the EC girls. We dug in defensively and held Wilmington to two points in the third quarter and two points in the fourth quarter.”

Libby Evanshine led East Clinton with 17 points. Kami Whiteaker finished with seven points and Hayleigh Perdue had four points. Jozie Jones chipped in with three points and Jayden Murphy scored two.
