Led by Sawyer Kratzer, the Wilmington High School boys bowling team had no trouble with Goshen Friday at Royal Z Lanes.

The Hurricane had 2,462 while the Warriors finished with 2,162. Wilmington also won the reserve boys match by 82 pins.

The WHS girls varsity squad was defeated 1,839 to 1,739 by Goshen. The Lady Hurricane trailed by just 56 pins going into the Baker games but were unable to make up the difference, coach Joe Davis said.

Sarah Waln had a high game of 118 and a series of 330 for the WHS girls. Katie Hottinger had a 309 series.

For the varsity boys, Kratzer had games of 247 and 255 for a 502 series, his season-best total.

Coach Davis moved Andrew Thompson into the varsity lineup for this match against Goshen “as a pat on the back for how well he has been bowling for the reserves.”
