WC women’s lacrosse drops 12-1 OAC match

The Wilmington College women’s lacrosse team fell to Otterbein, 12-1, in Ohio Athletic Conference action Wednesday at Williams Stadium.

Senior Katie Bennett (Newport, OH/Frontier) recorded a career-high 17 saves and her 63.0 save percentage was the third highest all season. It also was the best in a loss this season.

Senior Stephanie Belz (Gahanna, OH/Lincoln) scored Wilmington’s only goal.

The Fightin’ Quakers managed six shots in the game with junior Nikki Northern (Dayton, OH/Chaminade Julienne) taking two of the six.

Wilmington won five of the game’s 15 draw controls.

Wilmington (2-9 overall, 0-2 OAC) travels to Mount Union 1 p.m. Saturday for an OAC match.
