The Wilmington College baseball team dropped both ends of an Ohio Athletic Conference doubleheader with Otterbein Tuesday at Tewksbury-Delaney Field, 5-0 and 7-2.
The Fightin’ Quakers went 0-for-7 with runners in scoring position in the loss.
Sophomore Jake Robinson went 2-for-4 with a stolen base, while freshman Antonio Miller was 2-for-4 at the plate as well.
Senior Corey Walker (0-7) allowed five runs on eight hits over 7 1/3 innings of work to take the loss.
In the second game, Miller went 2-for-5, while senior Max Ramsey went 2-for-4 with a run scored. Walker had WC’s only extra-base hit, a first-inning double.
Gage Bley had two RBIs, one coming when he was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.
Senior Tyler Schrock (0-4) allowed six runs on 10 hits in 5 2/3 inning of work. The bullpen of senior Billy Foster and sophomore Tyler McDaniel combined to allow one unearned run in 3 1/3 innings.
Wilmington (4-29 overall, 1-11 OAC) hosts Marietta 1 p.m. Saturday at Tewksbury-Delaney Field. The Fightin’ Quakers will honor their six seniors between games.
