The Clinton-Massie junior varsity boys basketball team picked up its first win of the season Tuesday over Valley View 49-48 at Brian P. Mudd Court.
The Falcons trailed 9-0 then rallied to win the game on Alex Jones’ stickback with 2.3 seconds to play, coach Steven Gerber said.
“That was the first time we led all night,” Gerber added. “We’ve been talking about it for weeks, for us to continue to improve and be competitive, we had to have 100 percent effort and focus and take care of all the little things, and we did just that.”
Dakota Gasaway and Blake Ireland finished with 12 points each.
Jones had 10 points while Dawson Conley totaled nine points. Conner Stulz had five points. Ashton Campbell contributed one point, Collin Swope four rebounds and Gabe McDowell one steal.
