The East Clinton FFA recently had two teams representing the organization in Parliamentary Procedure.

The Novice team is made up of freshman and the Advanced team is made up of sophomores, juniors and seniors.

The teams demonstrate all of Robert’s Rules of Order on how to effectively run an FFA meeting and handle items of business.

The Novice team was made up of President Maddi Davis, Vice President Timmi Mahanes, Secretary Erynn Cluely, Student Advisor Savannah Tolle, Member Teddy Murphy, Sentinel Auburie Simpson, Reporter Gretchen Boggs, and Treasurer Sydney Bosier.

They placed first at sub-districts, first at districts, and second in their heat at state with the third-highest score at state. The Novice team presents opening ceremonies, as well as practicing basic debating. They also had to take a test over their knowledge over basic parliamentary procedure.

The Advanced team consisted of Maggie Matthews, Chair Holly Bernard, Carter Carey, Lydia Kessler, Katie Carey and Carlie Ellis.

This team placed first at sub-districts and third at districts.

Both teams worked extremely hard this year, and can’t wait to compete next year.
