BLANCHESTER — Two men face drug charges after Blanchester police served a search warrant Friday night at 117 S. Grove St.
The search was the culmination of an investigation opened nearly a month ago after the police department received several citizen tips of suspected drug trafficking at that residence, said BPD Chief Scott Reinbolt. He said the residence is the home of Stephen Baumann, 49, and Ronald Fryman, 54. Neither was home at the time the search warrant was executed.
“Officers found suspected heroin and various pieces of drug paraphernalia in the house, including pipes and hypodermic syringes,” Reinbolt said. “As a result, Fryman was charged with one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, while Baumann was charged with three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.”
He said the suspected heroin was sent to the Ohio BCI lab in London, Ohio for analysis. Felony charges will likely be forthcoming once the results of that examination are complete, he said.
“We appreciate the help of those citizens who provided the information that led to this investigation,” said Reinbolt.
