Clinton County Sheriff’s reports

WILMINGTON — The following information comes from incident reports provided by the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office. All those arrested are presumed innocent until possibly proven guilty in court.

The sheriff’s office recently processed the following reports:

• At 12:48 p.m. on May 24, a 25-year-old Leesburg male was arrested for an outstanding arrest warrant. After being transported to the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office he was found to be in possession of a container with residue he stated was meth. He was then charged with drug paraphernalia.

• At 2:30 p.m. on May 23, deputies responded to an unresponsive male lying on a front porch at a residence on State Route 28 East in New Vienna. According to the report, a capped syringe was found and seized.

• At 10:38 p.m. on May 29, a deputy observed a gray Chevrolet truck pulling into a driveway on State Route 350 West in Clarksville. According to the report, the deputy made contact with the driver, who did not have a valid license. Upon investigation, 17 pills and white powder were found.

• At 12:57 a.m. on May 30, a deputy observed a black 2002 Trailblazer pull over into a residence on State Route 350 in Clarksville. According to the report, the deputy discovered the driver didn’t have a valid driver’s license and a bag of marijuana was located.

• At 2 a.m. on May 24, police responded to a gas station on State Route 73 West for a dispute. When the deputy arrived and investigated, narcotics were discovered in possession of one of the suspects.

• At 1:31 a.m. on June 4, while conducting a traffic stop at the 5700 block of U.S. 68 North for a non-secured license plate and turn signal violation, two Leesburg subjecsts were arrested. According to the report, a Leesburg female was arrested for an outstanding warrant, drug possession, and falsification and a Leesburg male was arrested for drug possession.

• At 3:28 a.m. on June 3, deputies responded to the 1600 block of Davids Drive in Wilmington and arrested a subject for an outstanding warrant. According to the report, upon entrance of the detention center, it was found that the suspect attempted to convey a hypodermic needle into the facility.

• At 10:44 a.m. on May 22, the Sheriff’s Office received a report of alleged animal cruelty involving several horses at the 1-99 block of Yankee Road in Wilmington. The incident allegedly took place between Nov. 29, 2016 to May 22, 2017.

• At 11:29 a.m. on May 23, a 50-year-old male reported a four-wheeler was stolen from his residence at the 1-99 block of Sugartree Street in Clarksville.

• At 7:21 p.m. on May 24, deputies responded to the 1-99 block of Silver Maple Court in Sabina on the report of a Husky rototiller being stolen.

• At 11:51 a.m. on May 25, deputies received a report from a business in Sabina of receiving two bad checks within two days valued at $107.20.

• At 2:31 p.m. on May 26, a 51-year-old Wilmington male reported items were stolen from his residence at the 300 block of Dehan Road.

• At 12:14 p.m. on May 28, deputies responded to a possible assault at the 2700 block of U.S. 22 West. According to the report, a 39-year-old female was found with apparently minor injuries.

• Deputies were dispatched to the 1600 block of North Nelson Avenue in Wilmington at 10 a.m. on May 29 in reference to a four-wheeler theft.

• At 3:10 p.m. on May 29, deputies responded to a business on State Route 73 in Wilmington on the report of a stolen vehicle. According to the report, a 42-year-old Kentucky male advised it was stolen from the parking lot between 6 p.m. on May 28 and 1:45 p.m. on May 29.

• At 6 p.m. on May 29, a 32-year-old New Vienna female called deputies saying a subject had been contacting her while there was a no contact order in place.

• At 7:31 a.m. on May 30, deputies were called to a residence on State Route 730 in Blanchester on a domestic violence call. According to the report, deputies spoke with a 54-year-old male resident who said he and his wife had been arguing the past few days and there was a physical altercation earlier. The male had apparent minor injuries.

• At 2:07 a.m. on June 1, deputies made contact with six underage subjects at 900 block of South South Street. According to the report, three were under the influence, one fled on foot and was apprehended, another was charged with disorderly conduct.

• Authorities responded to the 1000 block of Southridge Avenue in Wilmington for a warrant service at 10:20 a.m. on June 1. According to the report, two subjects were arrested on a warrant. Two suspects were arrested for allegedly possessing drug instruments. A cellophane bag with pills was located in possession of another subject.

• At 9:54 a.m. on June 2, deputies received a theft report from a 50-year-old male. He reported that his daughter had been stealing tools from their residence at the 200 block of Kentucky Avenue and pawning them in stores.

•At 10:22 p.m. on June 3, deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of Gano Road for a report of a fight. Authorities made contact with a 58-year-old Xenia male who alleged he was in a fight.

• At 12:20 p.m. on June 4, deputies were dispatched to a 200 block of South Mulberry Street in Wilmington for a reported theft at the 100 block of West Champlin Road.

• At 9:56 p.m. on June 4, deputies found a female subject in the middle of State Route 22 East stopping vehicles. She was arrested for disorderly conduct after being told several times to calm down while “she was kicking the side cage of a Sabina cruiser.”

Sheriff’s deputies recently charged the following people:

• Robert Stewart, 42, of New Vienna, was charged with allegedly possessing drug abuse instruments.

• James Thomas III, 33, of West Carrollton, was charged with alleged drug paraphernalia.

• Beau Maikut, 35, of Sabina, and Reed Maikut, 34, were charged with alleged breaking and entering.

• Douglas Krause, 39, of Bolingbrook, Illinois, was charged with disorderly conduct.

• Avery Bennett, 21, of Sabina, was charged with allegedly possessing drug abuse instruments.

• Benjamine Benningfield, 27, of Dayton, and Sirenity Stottlemire, 25, of Wilmington, were charged with allegedly possessing drug abuse instruments.

• Joshua Creech, 25, of Hillsboro, was charged with allegedly possessing drug abuse instruments.

• Vincent Combs, 25, of Leesburg, was charged with alleged drug paraphernalia.
