Blanchester and Wilmington police arrested a man Sunday and charged him with manufacturing methamphetamine.

Jeremy Carr, 25, was charged with illegal assembly of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs.

Blanchester police say an active methamphetamine manufacturing operation was found in the attic of a home at 613 S. Broadway St. in Blanchester on June 14.

The home is occupied by Carr, his mother and a minor child, according to Police Chief Scott Reinbolt.

“Carr was not at home when the manufacturing operation was found, and had not returned home since,” Reinbolt said. “The police department received a citizen tip indicating Carr was staying at 523 W. Main St. in Wilmington.

“On Sunday evening, a Blanchester police officer enlisted the assistance of Sgt. Ron Cravens of the Wilmington Police Department and the officers went to that residence, where Carr was located and arrested.”

Carr’s criminal record includes convictions for domestic violence and improperly discharging a firearm, Reinbolt said.

He will answer the current charges in the Clinton County Court of Common Pleas.

“We are grateful for the information about Carr’s whereabouts from the citizens who provided tips, as well as for the assistance of the Wilmington Police Department,” said Reinbolt.
