WILMINGTON — The Wilmington Seventh-day Adventist Church will host the testimonial presentation of Peggy (Fugett) Allen in word and song on Sunday, Sept. 24 at 3 p.m. She grew up in the Westboro/Midland area.

She was married to the late Charlie Allen from Blanchester. Her vision is to be an instrument in helping America turn back to God. Peggy believes her story will show others God is who He says He is, and will give us “the desires of our hearts” if we will follow His way and will.

Peggy has written a book, “From Welfare to Warfare”, depicting her life story. Her book is about her 15-year battle with manic-depression (bi-polar). The book follows her life in and out of hospitals and mental facilities, and being on and off welfare. The book also tells of her journey with Jesus.

Following the testimonial service will be her book presentation. Refreshments will be served and door prizes given in the fellowship hall. Her book will be available for sale.

The book also will be available at For a Song and a Story, a shop in downtown Wilmington, beginning Monday, Sept. 25. All proceeds from the sale of the book will be given to the church.

The church is located at 4394 State Route 73 East, Wilmington, a half-mile south of Airport Road.

“We hope you will come and be blessed by her testimony,” stated a spokesperson.
