WILLIAMSBURG — The Blanchester High School girls soccer team was defeated by Williamsburg, 10-0, Tuesday in SBAAC National Division play at WHS.

Williamsburg led 9-0 at halftime.

BHS coach Kurt Ballinger said, “In the first half we were playing as separate individuals and paid the price. Once we finally began competing as a team and making the correct rotations, we had success. But we continue to wait far too long into our games to rediscover this truth.”

Ballinger said Rylan Coyle and Luiza Ozeas put in gritty efforts despite the difficult circumstances. The coach said Bri Haun and Emma Winemiller played well defensively in the second half.

Alyssa Griffith, Lacie Tedrick and Daelyn Staehling all played goalkeeper for Blanchester.
