Despite scoring four runs in the bottom of the seventh, the Wilmington High School softball team rally fell short Tuesday in a 6-4 loss to Beavercreek in a non-league game on the WHS diamond.
Courtney Smart had two hits and scored a run for the Lady Hurricane. She also was tagged with the pitching loss.
Six WHS errors contributed to a pair of unearned runs for Beavercreek.
Wilmington left one runner on base while Beavercreek stranded nine runners.
