The Wilmington High School baseball team was defeated by Lebanon 17-5 Tuesday in seven innings in a non-league game on the WHS diamond.

With eight games in eight days, Hurricane pitchers are being tested.

“It’s putting a strain on the pitching staff,” coach Rick Kneisel said.

Lebanon scored five runs in the first inning to take control of the game.

Zach Wyrick started for the Hurricane and pitched into the second inning before giving way to Brady McCune, Alec Manser and Brad Keller.
