With three bowlers averaging over 200, the Clinton-Massie boys bowling team defeated Wilmington and Chillicothe Tuesday in South Central Ohio League action at Royal Z Lanes.

The Falcons finished with 2,516 while the Cavaliers had 2,484 and the Hurricane finished with 2,379.

“Chillicothe and Wilmington are really good teams,” CM coach Shonda Marburger said. “It was a hard-fought match. After the two regulation games, we were only up 10 pins to Chillicothe. The boys really pulled it together when we needed it.”

The Falcons had baker games of 180, 206 and 213 to secure the victory.

Aric France had games of 200 and 225 to lead Massie while Kenton McInerney had 216 and 192 while Chandler Morsch had 184 and 223.

Joey Marburger finished with 181 and 188 while Jacob Wellman had a 159 game and Corey Potts had a 149 game.

Wilmington bowled well in the baker games (213, 182, 243) but “fell too far behind after game one to both teams” to rally for the win, coach Josh Fisher said.

Ryan Hottinger led the Hurricane with games of 223 and 182. Zack Zeckser had a 211 game.
