CM, WHS well represented in F Flight medal round

Clinton County will be well represented in the Greater Cincinnati Tennis Coaches Association Coaches Classic tournament finals Saturday morning at Princeton High School.

Players from Clinton-Massie and Wilmington will compete in the medal round on all five courts.

Play will resume 9 a.m. Saturday Princeton High School.

Wilmington has a slight lead over Seton B after day one, 190-185. Clinton Massie sits in third with 145. Cincinnati McNicholas, Princeton, West Clermont and Colerain complete the bracket.

Playing for tournament bracket championships will be:

• Anne Thompson of Clinton-Massie at first singles. She posted two wins on Thursday and will meet Bowen of Princeton in the championship match.

• Sophie Reed of Wilmington at second singles. She won two matches Thursday and is set to meet Dee of Seton for the bracket title.

• Raelee Schulz of Clinton-Massie at third singles. After a win in the first round, she received a bye in the second round and will play Tepe of Seton for first place.

• Emma Schroeder and Brookly Nielsen of WHS at first doubles. They picked up two wins on Thursday and are set to face Kohl and Moss of McNicholas for the first doubles crown.

• Zane Bekheet and Kristina Walt of Wilmington at second doubles. After an easy first win, the Lady Hurricane duo had an epic victory 3-6, 7-6 (7-5), 10-7 over Megan Wonderly and Jenn Callewaert of Clinton-Massie in the second round. They’ll meet Cappel and Bengel of Seton for the title.
