GEORGETOWN – Blanchester had a big day in all aspects in a 17-0 win over Georgetown in a non-league game at the GHS diamond.

The Wildcats are 2-3 on the year.

“It was nice to finally get back outside,” BHS coach Aaron Lawson said. “We played every phase of the game well. Pitchers got ahead and lived low. Defense made the routine plays and we hit the baseball hard.

“Hopefully we can roll over this type of play (Friday) at Bethel. They always play us tough.”

Mason Rector, Jacksson Waialae, Justin Ballard and Brant Bandow pitched for Blanchester. Rector struck out four while Waialae and Ballard fanned three each.

Jack Davidson had three hits and drove in four runs. Chris Farrow had two hits and four RBI.

Jacob Fischer doubled and drove home three teammates. Waialae had a hit and RBI as did Dustin Howard, who also walked twice. Bandow walked three times, singled and knocked in two runs.
