Polaris expansion project progressing in Wilmington

New expansion of an existing business is a sure sign of economic development.

Construction work continues at the Polaris site.

Polaris, which already has warehousing-and-distribution facilities in Commerce Park along Progress Way in Wilmington, is expanding its operations here. Polaris is known for its riding vehicles, many of them off-road.

A Polaris expansion project looks to be progressing nicely. The company broke ground for the addition this spring with completion slated for spring 2023. The addition is going onto the front of Polaris’ existing building at the corner of Progress Way and Airborne Road. The 165,000 square-foot expansion will bring the company’s warehousing-and-distribution facilities footprint in Wilmington to 465,000 square feet. Polaris estimates the expansion, once it is open, will create 20 to 25 new jobs over three years.
